‘Kosovo Cinematography: The Cultural Breakthrough’ was the August theme of EUICC in Pristina, which included the screening of two Kosovo produced films, that had international recognition and success. “Lord of the House”, the first screened in the series, is a documentary film that portrays a rebellious Kosovar midwife fighting for acknowledgement from her family, which has always lived by century-old Albanian traditions based on male-dominance. A master class, held by the director and producer of the film, Danielle Bremer and Edon Rizvanolli, and a discussion on the film’s creative approach followed the screening.
Furthermore, the BAFTA awarded short film ‘Home’, a Kosovo-UK production, was screened, followed by a talk with the film’s director and producers. A significant number of cinematography lovers had the chance to watch the film and meet its producers for a discussion and Q&A session.
