Europe Day 2021

To mark the Europe Day, the European Union Office and the Europe House in Kosovo organized numerous cultural, educational and entertainment activities, which launched on the 9th of May, and ended on the 14th of May.

Europe Day activities started with the painting of the main staircase of the “Dragodan” neighbourhood, by the renowned international graffiti artist Demos, as well as from other local graffiti artists; transforming the look of the stairs through art, as well as delivering a message on environment protection.

Also on that day, Europe House in Kosovo broadcasted a classical music concert performed by the Viennese “AUREUM Saxophon Quartett,” who prepared a special program for Europe’s Day.

Europe Day’s main concert of modern music took place on the 9th of May, where Kosovo’s main pop stars performed a concert, broadcasted on national TV station Klan Kosova, and Europe House’s Facebook page.

Also on the 9th of May, Kosovo’s National Library “Pjetër Bogdani” took a completely new look, as it was lit in blue and yellow, the colours of the European Union flag.

Meanwhile, at the end of the day, the EU Ambassador in Kosovo Tomas Szunyog, delivered a message to Kosovo’s people, broadcasted on Klan Kosova and Europe House’s Facebook page.

On the 10th of May, Ambassador Szunyog answered children’s questions on Europe and the European Union.

On the 12th of May, the virtual exhibition “Small hands, big masterpieces” was opened. The exhibition contains artworks of the talented children of the art school “Da Vinci Course” and Autism Association. The exhibition can be visited by clicking here.

Meanwhile, on the 13th of May the winners of the photography competition “EU support to Kosovo” were announced.
