The EU Information and Cultural Centre in North Mitrovica in cooperation with the French Embassy in Priština has marked yet another Francophonie Week by screening two films: Polina (Polina, Danser Sa Vie) and Tamara.
Polina is a French drama film directed by Valérie Müller and Angelin Preljocaj. Rigorously trained from an early age by a perfectionist instructor, Polina is a promising classical ballet dancer. She is just about to join the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet when she discovers contemporary dance, a revelation that throws everything into question on a profound level.
Tamara is a teen comedy film directed by Alexandre Castagnetti. Tamara is overweight and unpopular at school. She and her fiend take a bet they will make a play for the first and second boy to enter the classroom.
The movies were screened on March 13th and March 14th.
