EUICC brings to light young artists and culture

The European Union Information and Cultural Centre (EUICC) in Pristina and Mitrovica are putting artists and cultural life in Kosovo under the spotlight.

While summer in Pristina can be quiet, August was full with events at the EUICC.

An art exhibition by artist Yll Xhaferi and a talk with costume designer Hana Zeqa gathered a fruitful number of participants and a large audience who enjoyed a productive debate, as well as artwork which gave a fresh new look to our premises in Pristina.

Equally, the Summer Jazz Night at the EUICC in North Mitrovica, which included a performance by the Milica Dobrić Quartet, made for a relaxed and melodious musical evening. In the upcoming months, the audience will have the chance to experience concerts, exhibitions and competitions of different kinds, in which citizens are welcome to join in and bring back culture and art to the EUICC premises in North Mitrovica.

This month marks the beginning of a series of brand new cultural events taking place at the EUICC each month, with exhibitions, book promotions, artist talks, small concerts and panel discussions.

Both the EUICC in Pristina and North Mitrovica have been, and will continue to be committed to giving a voice and space to established and young artists who have multidimensional inspirations and are willing to share them with an audience.
